Category Rules

The module allows you to define many category rules based on yours product categories. These rules can be applied on each category in your shop.

Thanks to these rules, you can define specific rules for shipment (ex. additional costs), attributes, guarantees and prices. To create a category rule, simply click on add category rule in the top right corner. Rules can be applied for the following fields, please find a brief description below.

Rule name: The name of your rule.

Additional shipping price: Additional shipping costs.

Full attributes: Here you can define if the rule includes all attributes (dimension, size, colors, …). Choose between yes and no. We suggest choosing YES, in order to use attributes defined before.

Guarantee: Here you can define if the rule includes guarantees.

After you have entered your rule click the button to save the category rule.

After you have completed this step a new window will open on the same page. Here you can apply further price rules for the category rule. Therefore, click on the “Add a price rule” button.

The price rule allows you to enter further information about:

Min. price (included): The minimum price you want to include.

Max price (excluded): The maximum price you want to exclude.

Value: Value of the actual amount or percentage

Type: Scale Unit (amount, % etc.)

Now click on save to save the price rule.

Good to know: You can define several price rules for only one category rule. However, two price rules cannot be applied to the same price range. Indeed, you will have to define the minimum price (included) and the maximum price (excluded) on which your price rule will act. Then, you will have to define a value and choose whether this corresponds to a percentage or a gross amount. Please note that these rules have an impact on your product flow.
